Focus on High-Efficiency, Precision Machining | GZTECH Unveils New QCW Pulsed Fiber Lasers

At its new product launch on 10 July, GZTECH officially unveiled two major QCW pulsed fiber laser product lines-air cooling and water cooling-with power outputs spanning the full range from 50W to 2000W. These are fully compatible with three mainstream processes: precision micro-machining, ceramic slitting and high-reflectivity metal cutting. The series offers three core advantages: high pulse waveform consistency, long-term power stability and excellent beam quality.

I. Dual Technical Approaches: Lightweight Air-Cooling vs High-Power Water-Cooling

GZTECH’s QCW product line employs a dual-architecture design combining ‘air-cooling and water-cooling’ to meet the requirements of different applications:

Air cooling series: ‘No water cooling required, lightweight and integrated’, significantly reducing equipment procurement and factory operational and maintenance costs;
Water cooling series: Focused on high-power mass production scenarios, delivering consistently more stable output.

II. Four major new products, backed byreal-world test data

The four new products launched at this event have all undergone comprehensive stability and cutting process testing, specifically addressing pain points in the industrys machining processes.

01

QCW 450 Air Cooling Laser

—— A new benchmark in power for pure air-cooling solutions

Key Technical Features

  • Pure air cooling, eliminating the need for a chiller, significantly reducing installation and operational costs;
  • High-fidelity pulse waveform reproduction, with no waveform distortion at pulse widths of 50–100μm and a maximum peak fluctuation of just 1.7%;
  • Power fluctuation of <5% across a wide temperature range of 5–40°C, ensuring high long-term output reliability and suitability for 24h continuous production lines;
  • Extreme cutting capability: stable cutting of 17mm silicon nitride and 15mm silicon carbide;
  • Power stability: power drift at 10%, 30%, 60% and 100% load levels is consistently<5%.

Authoritative test data

48h full-power burn-in test: average power 476.89W, PTP fluctuation 2.17 percent, RMS just 0.38 percent.

Practical applications: Silicon carbide and silicon nitride cutting.

02

QCW 300 Air Cooling Laser(14μm Small Fiber Core)

—— A Power Tool for Precision Micromachining

Key Technical Features

  • 14μm micro-fiber core, high energy density, and a smaller focused spot;
  • Beam quality M²<1.2, spot ellipticity>0.95, long depth of focus, and a wider process tuning window;
  • High peak output: 300W average, 3,000W peak, with a single-pulse energy of 30J, capable of instantaneously vaporising highly reflective materials such as gold, silver and copper;
  • Minimum pulse width of 10μs, resulting in a micrometre-scale heat-affected zone during processing, with no scorching or deformation of the workpiece.

Authoritative Test Data

Practical applications: Micro-drilling of PCB, precision semiconductor dicing, fine welding of gold, silver and platinum jewellery, and micro-cutting of ultra-thin copper foil.

03

QCW 1000/3000 Water Cooling Laser

—— The workhorse of medium-power mass production

Key Technical Features

  • 20μm fiber core design, with a maximum continuous duty cycle of 30 percent, ensuring sustained high-power output without attenuation over extended periods;
  • Balances speed and cut surface quality, producing short burrs when cutting thick metal, thereby reducing the need for post-cutting grinding;
  • Ample pulse energy, suitable for stable machining of highly reflective conductive metals such as copper and aluminium.

QCW 2000/6000 Water Cooling Laser

——Flagship Model with High Average Power

Key Technical Features

  • Average 2000W / Peak 6000W, single-pulse energy 200J;
  • 34μm fiber core, offering a significant increase in energy density compared to the traditional 100μm fiber core;
  • Improved quality and efficiency in cutting thick plates.

Authoritative test data

Thick copper cutting: 3mm; for red copper: 25mm/s; burr length≤30μm.

Practical applications: Cutting of medium- and heavy-gauge metal materials.
